EVENT at Delhi - Round Table on PAKISTAN: IMPLICATIONS FOR INDIA on March 21, 2009
Pakistan as you know, is in the midst of turmoil. The Taliban is spreading rapidly, and given the political chaos and the role of the army no one appears to be in a position to counter this. New Delhi too has not been able to think its policy through as is evident from the conflicting statements of key policy makers.
Centre for Policy Analysis, is organizing a Round Table on STATE OF PAKISTAN:IMPLICATIONS FOR INDIA on Saturday March 21,2009 at 10.30a.m at Conference Room II at the India International Centre (above the dining hall, main).
We are grateful to former foreign secretary Salman Haider, former foreign secretary Muchkund Dubey, filmmaker Mahesh Bhat who has returned with others from a recent visit to Pakistan, CPI general secretary A.B.Bardhan, Nationalist Congress Party leader D.P.Tripathi and renowned scholar Aijaz Ahmad for having agreed to initiate the discussion.
We hope you will find the time to participate and will also join us for lunch after the meeting.
